Creating Persistent Links

for the LexisNexis® Academic database

 

  1. Copy and paste the record's title and source information into your Webpage.
    Example:     Title  VW, Welcome to Chattanooga
    Source: Chattanooga Times Free Press.; July 16, 2008

     

     

  2. Hyperlink the article title.
    a.  Open and complete the "Durable Links" form: http://www.amdev.net/lna_article_link.php

    Form to create a durable link for a LexisNexis article.

    Provide article details and submit the information

    Copy and paste the article link provided by the system.

     

    b. Add the library's proxy server extension http://libdb.chattanoogastate.edu/login?url=
    in front of the link provided by LexisNexis (or use the Converter)
      (The proxy server extension prompts user for library's username and password). 
     
    c.  The complete URL to access the article above would be:
    http://libdb.chattanoogastate.edu/login?url=http://www.lexisnexis.com/us/lnacademic/api/version1/sr?shr=t&csi=155832&sr=HLEAD(vw+welcome+to+chattanooga)+AND+DATE+IS+July+16+2008
     
  1. Format the title and source as desired.
    Example: VW, Welcome to Chattanooga
      Chattanooga Times Free Press.; July 16, 2008
