To Print Your Citation in MLA Format

  1. Select the print icon displayed above your article:

  1. Once the Print page opens, select "MLA (Modern Language Association):"

  1. Most of the MLA citation is provided at the top of the article.  Copy and paste the citation into your Works Cited page. 
    Keep in mind, revisions are still needed in order for your teacher to accept this citation.  For example:

MLA Basic Electronic Citation Format:

• Author's Last Name, First Name. "Title of work." Article's original source and publication date: page numbers. Database name. Publisher. Location from which the site was accessed. Date researcher visited the site. <Electronic Address, or URL, of the publisher>

  1. Use the library's MLA Citation Examples to complete your citation (library name, etc., and shorter web address). 
    Select "MasterFILE" or other database name in the bookmarks on the left side of the citation examples.

  2. Use the browser's print function to print the article (Click "File," then "Print" or just use Control-P keys).
