While some of these tasks may be completed online, you may need to pay a visit to the library to do some of them.

Find an ebook about women in ancient Mesopotamia.  Give the full MLA citation for the book. Hint: It doesn't have cards anymore, but it does have ebooks.
Find an essay by Michael Nagler in a book about teaching the Iliad and the Odyssey.  Give the full MLA citation for the essay. Hint: There are many Approaches to this question.
Find a copy of the Oratorio of Gilgamesh from the BBC.  Give the full MLA citation for the recording. Hint: This CD might be the best 53 minutes of your life!
Find an article by Albert Cook on shields in the Hellenistic age.  Give the full MLA citation for the essay. Hint: Beowulf might still be alive today if he had STORed this article.
Find an article on prostitution in Mesopotamia. Give the full MLA citation for the essay. Hint: The Origin of this Journal article may surprise you.
At which university press is the Dictionary of Literary Biography published? Hint: You'll just have to put your hands on this reference.
Find an article by Joseph Addison published in The Spectator in 1898 which offers a critique of Homer’s work.  Give the full MLA citation for the essay. Hint: You'll have to be Resourceful to find this sort of Literature.
What differences are there between the first 15 lines of the Iliad in Stanley Lombardo’s translation and in Robert Fitzgerald’s translation? (Hint: use a website from the Academy of American Poets) Hint: Search this .org to finish this poetry odyssey.
Find the entry for Aeneas in the Dictionary of World Mythology and cite it in MLA format. Hint: You can find this great reference in two formats.
List three reference books for articles on Classical Literature according to the library’s research guide. Hint: Reference books abound to guide your research to literary criticism.
