Magazine and Journal Articles

To quickly locate articles, including film reviews and book reviews, from magazines, journals, and newspapers, visit some library databases, including:

contains over 59,000,000 articles from thousands of magazines, journals, newspapers, and reference books!  Finding articles is fast and easy.

InfoTrac defaults to a "Subject Guide Search," but for this project, you'll probably want to select the "Basic Search" option found at the top left of the screen (see the example at the right).

Select "Basic Search" . . .

Then enter the book/movie title along with "AND review" as shown below . ..

Wilson OmniFile Full Text will be an excellent source of good articles for this assignment.

Notice also that once you do a search, OmniFile gives you a list of suggested subjects that may help to further refine your research.  For example, based on the search shown above, OmniFile suggests . . .

Literature Resource Centeris a great place to begin your research to find information about your chosen topic!

CAUTION!  Always be EXTREMELY careful when searching the Internet for sources. 

Remember that ANYONE can publish a web page . . . so always ask yourself if the person who published the web page you may be looking at actually KNOWS more about the topic than you do!
