Find an issue using the "Ethics & Values" section of your text.  Write a 1000 word (4-5 page, double-spaced) paper using at least 4 sources - your text, other books, journal and magazine articles.  No Internet sources may be used.

Can limit search to articles with "greater than 2 pages"

 

Hints: Use "and" between search words for articles having all search terms.

E.g.  Alaska and "global warming":    Alaska and the phrase "global warming" will be in the articles.

 

Use an asterisk (*) for varied word endings:
              E.g.  ethic* for ethics, ethical,

 

Use quotation marks around phrases.   E.g.  "military draft"     No quotes needed for single words.

Use "not review*" to take out book reviews.

Government Documents - include testimony from experts on various topics

Start with an author if you have one.

 

Article from a database:

Author's Last Name, First Name. "Title of Article." Name of Publication.
Publication Date: Page Numbers. Database Name. Database Supplier. Library Name, Library City. Date of Access <http://www.databaseaddress.com>.
