How Do I Find Court Rules in Tennessee Code Annotated?

Remember to check for pockets parts.

1. If a client seeks relief from a judgment on the basis of a clerical mistake, what is the time span that the client has to make this motion?  This question involves a Civil Procedure rule.  First, what is available in the Court Rules volumes of the Tennessee Code Annotated??  These volumes appear toward the end of the TCA.

Volume 2 includes Hamilton County Local Rules of Practice.

2. It is best to use the index to the Rules of Civil Procedure.  The current edition has the index starting on page 527 of volume 1 of the Court Rules volumes.  The court rules are indexed in the General Index of the TCA, but the indexing seems more detailed in the court rules volumes.  Each court rules has its own index.  Look up under "mistake and error" the subsection on "Judgments, relief from" "Clerical mistakes."

3. RCP 60.01 and 60.02 need to be read until the answer to the question is found.

The annotation appearing in small type below the law gives additional comments.
