Chattanooga State Technical
Institute Catalog 1965-66: "The Chattanooga State Technical
Institute will begin its school year in September,
1965 in temporary quarters [Temporary school location, 400
Chestnut Street, 37403; Temporary office location, 1021 James
Building, 37402]. As soon as the new building is completed
the Institute will move into its new quarters. These new
facilities will consist of a new modern air-conditioned building
containing the following: 1. A school cafeteria to serve
well-balanced lunches at a moderate price. 2. A library
with conference room, workroom, librarian's office, and study
area for the storage and use of the thousands of volumes of both
conventional and technical reference materials...."
