Chattanooga State History 1973

Highlight: Chattanooga State Technical Institute approved to become 2-year college.  State law authorizes Chattanooga State Technical Community College (TCA 49-8-401).  School is now administrated by Board of Regents instead of Board of Education.  Another expansion is planned.  Minimum standards for college president given, which include earned doctorate.  Charles W. Branch appointed president of CSTCC.
