To find articles on accounting issues, use professional journals:

1. Select General OneFile.

    (a) Search by topic, for example, accounting.  Then narrow by subdivision,
          for example, ethical aspects, or

    (b) Search for specific subject, for example, Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.
Click in the peer-reviewed publications box to limit your search to journals, or

    (c) Browse through articles in a specific journal.  Do a publications search,
for example, Journal of Accountancy.  Scroll down to select an issue to browse.

2. Try other databases as needed, including LexisNexis Academic.

    Select the Business tab.
Under Business Searches on the right, select Accounting.
Select the source, like Journal of Accountancy.
Limit the date: for example, previous 2 years.

Difference between Terms & Connectors and Natural Language:
Terms & Connectors: Searching ethics and accounting finds much fewer articles.
Natural Language: Searching ethics in accounting brings up many articles
            sorted by relevance.

3. Cite your sources:
MLA Citation Examples for Documents Found in Electronic Databases.
MLA Citation Examples for World Wide Web Sites.

4. Evaluating Websites and Journals - http://library.chattanoogastate.edu/east/topics/evaluating.htm

5. You may like to see a list of accounting journals.  Select one.
Then scroll down to select an issue to browse.
