Off Campus Services
  • You must have a library card to access library services online. You can go to "Your Account" to check your library record.
  • You can "Place Holds" on books that are unavailable (Checked-Out, No item data available). Check the "Status" of the book before placing holds.
  • After logging into "Your Account" you can go to the "Multisearch" button to get the current password for the library's databases.
  • If you live within Hamilton County in Tennessee, you must visit the Chattanooga State main campus to get a student ID card that will have a barcode.
  • If you live outside of Hamilton County but within Tennessee, contact one of the "Cooperating Libraries" to request a library card.
  • If you live outside of Tennessee, Contact Tisa Houck, Coordinator of Access Services, to request a library card.
  • Go to the "All Databases" page to find individual database descriptions and citation examples.
  • "Assignment Guides" are created by library instructors for your specific library assignment. These guides will help you complete your library assignment.
  • "Research Guides" list web sites, databases, periodicals, and reference books on different subjects such as nursing, controversial issues, and literature. Please inform the library if there are additional items that could be added to these guides.
  • Use the "Reference Question Form" to get help with your research.
  • If you live within the state of Tennessee, a Cooperating Libraries can request books from the CSTCC main campus for you. You will be able to pick books up at the cooperating site.
  • Interlibrary Loans are a service that finds the book that you need from other colleges and universities and delivers it to the CSTCC library for you to use.
  • Laptops are intended for classes listed in the CSTCC course schedule as "Laptop". Individual students can only check-out laptops after laptop classes.
  • Classes held in the library's classroom are library instruction classes, not regular CSTCC classes.
