The BATES' VISUAL GUIDE TO PHYSICAL EXAMINATION (4TH EDITION) Web site can be viewed on any PC installed with Windows98 SP2, Windows2000, Windows ME, or Windows XP. Windows Media Player 9 must be installed. The Web site also requires Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher or Netscape 7.0 or higher. Users experiencing problems with video playback should configure their browser to enable JavaScript. -- Internet Explorer users can enable JavaScript by selecting the TOOLS menu, then INTERNET OPTIONS. Then they should click the SECURITY tab, click on the INTERNET content zone icon, and then select the CUSTOM LEVEL button. Within the SECURITY SETTINGS window, they should scroll down to the SCRIPTING/ACTIVE SCRIPTING setting and enable ACTIVE SCRIPTING. -- Netscape 7 users can enable JavaScript by selecting the EDIT menu, then PREFERENCES. If your browser settings indicate that JavaScript is enabled, but the videos still do not play, consult the documentation for your antivirus software to determine whether this script blocking feature can or should be disabled/bypassed. Monitors should be set to 24-bits and a screen resolution of 640x480 or higher (800x600 is recommended, although video files will appear larger on monitors at 640x480). A sound card is required.
